Today is Thursday, do you know what that means? I'm throwing it back to the 90's and busting out the body suit. When I first started seeing these in stores, I didn't think they would actually come back into style. Turns out I was wrong. Now, I'm not wrong very often, so don't get used to it. I decided I needed to try it out, so I decided to go and buy a very basic black bodysuit. As soon as I put it on, I think I fell in love; it's the shirt that never comes untucked!

I guess Arizona was a little late to the game, because it is the middle of December and the leaves have just now started to change colors. But, I can't really complain because it looks so pretty outside! Also, I would choose leaves over snow any day of the week (that's probably why I like living in sunny Arizona). Even though the summers here are so hot you don't want to step foot outside, the fact that it's still 70 degrees this close to winter makes it all worth it.
Lately, skirts have been my go-to when trying to find something to wear. Right now, my favorite is this denim button up skirt. Not only is this style of skirt super popular and trendy right now, you can wear it with just about anything. Since all of the leaves were a really pretty yellow right now, I decided to pair it with a red sweater. I finished the look with a pair of black booties and a watch. You can definitely add a big chunky necklace if you wanted to dress this outfit up a bit more, but sometimes I just like to keep things simple.
As the mornings continue to get colder and colder, I find that I have less time to get ready in the mornings because I never want to get out of bed. So, casual looks like this one are becoming very common for me.
Anyone can find these basics in their closet - a white tee shirt - your favorite pair of jeans (in this case it's my ripped BlankNYC jeans) - a pair of your favorite sneakers (these gray Adidas are so comfy I could probably sleep in them) Spice up the outfit with some jewelry, a bralette, and, in this case, a hat and you're ready to go. Want to know my favorite part about an outfit like this? It didn't even take me 3 minutes to do my hair. I pinned it up to the side and let the hat do the rest of the work. The more time I save, the more time I get to lay in bed in the morning:) Now that it's November, it seems like Arizona finally got the memo that it's fall. I have been buying so many new sweaters and cardigans, but it has been too hot outside to wear them. After months and months of waiting, the time has come to bust them out of my closet. One of my favorite parts about fall is dressing for the weather. It's so easy to dress up a casual outfit by layering on a jacket and throwing on a pair of booties (or in this case, over-the-knee socks and a pair of tall boots).
July is nearly over and that means back to school! I could not have asked for a better "last summer" of high school, but it's time to get back to reality. I am so excited to be starting my senior year of high school. I can't believe how quickly three years went by. I can't wait to try all kinds of crazy things over this next year with my best friends before we all go our separate ways.
As I was "back to school" shopping this year, I realized that my new staple is the tee shirt dress. I'm not joking when I say that I own this dress in four different colors. It's just so simple and can easily be dressed up or down. For the first day of school, I decided to dress it up a bit with a chunky statement necklace, gold watch, and lace up gladiator sandals. Summer is here, and so are my favorite sandals! BIrkenstocks should be a staple in every girl's closet. The bright, bubblegum pink color makes these shoes perfect for summer. The best part? These shoes are cute & comfortable! I'm about to go and buy these shoes in every color...
> denim is like black or white; it goes with everything! That's why it pairs great with patterned skirts. Add a cute pair of heels and you're set for a day out with the girls. >> denim shirt with with leather pants and black fringe booties >>> black pants with a white graphic tee. Layer the denim shirt over the tee and finish with a pair of sneakers.
Dressing up is one of my favorite things to do. That must be why I love photoshoots so much; you get to plan an outfit, put on some pretty make up, and make your hair look fancy. This most recent shoot is one of my favorites. The theme was bohemian. That meant dark makeup, flowers, layers of clothes, nature, and more flowers. And good thing I live in Arizona because what better background is there than the desert? Thank you Tisha for the amazing pictures, and Katelynd for the beautiful hair (as always).
With Katelynd wanting to do a hair photoshoot, it gave me a great opportunity to turn it into some fashion inspiration as well. I decided to stick with a more boho, lived in feel. To get this look, I decided layers was the way to go so, I looked in my closet and quite literally just layered and layered clothes on top of each other until I had the perfect outfit. I ended up with a maroon tank top. Underneath, I wore a dark blue tank top with lace peeking out of the bottom. On top, I added a very slouchy navy cardigan. To accessorize, I decided to put on some knee length cream colored socks and tall brown boots. And what outfit would be complete without jewelry? For this, I put on some colorful beaded necklaces and a gold bracelet. |
