Two Summer Staples
The Half-way Point
Today was the last day of cosmetology school for the year! I loved getting to know all of the girls in my class this year as we discovered our passion for hair. But... as much fun as it was, I'm really looking forward to summer break and not having to be there until 4:00 every day. Besides, these next two and a half months will fly bye and I'll be back in class with all of these girlies again. One more year and I'll be able to go and get my license!
Part Two
Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to one of my best friends. I am so lucky to have her as my mom, and honestly, I have no clue what I would do without her.
"Living life just like I should"
Twelve hours ago, I had no clue who The Mowgli's were, but when my friend called me and asked if I wanted to go to their concert, of coarse I said yes. Even if the music wasn't that great, as long as I was with my friends, I would have a good time. The venue was in downtown Phoenix in the basement of a restaurant. You know in the movies when they go to a concert for a local band, and the room is small, and everyone is right up next to the stage, and jamming out, and having a good time? Well, that is exactly how last night was. My friends and I were so close to the stage we were able to have conversations with band m embers from The Mowgli's and their opening acts. After waiting and waiting, the music finally started; it was fun and upbeat and overall just a really good time. I wasn't sure what to expect at the beginning, but I'm always down for an adventure, and last night was definitely a great adventure.

Take me out to the ballgame
Is there anything more American than spending a Friday night at the baseball field? We had good seats, good company, and a not so good game, but that wasn't going to ruin the night (especially because even thought the Diamond Backs lost, there would still be fireworks after the game). I never thought that I would be able to sit through an entire baseball game, but you know what they say, "time flies when you're having fun."
Prommm
This weekend was nothing if not crazy. It was prom weekend, and I definitely had the best date around. It got started bright and early on Saturday morning with a trip to the lake (basically my favorite place in Arizona). Even though I had to get up at five in the morning, it was totally worth it. When we got up there, Braden (my date) and Beecher (my best friend) decided they would try and ride the paddle board together. When they couldn't do it, Beecher's date and I had no choice but to show them up. Then, we went out on the boat to wakeboard and tube. With prom being later that day, I kept piling on the sunscreen. There was no way I would let myself be sunburnt for pictures.
When I finally got home from the lake, I rushed to get ready. I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off scrambling to get myself put together, but some how, I managed to do it. Four thirty rolled around and Braden knocked on my door; it was finally time to go to prom! First things first though, we went to take some pictures, because did it really happen if you didn't get pictures to prove it? It was fun to see all of the girls in their prom dresses when only a few hours before, we were at the lake with windblown hair. Next, we went to dinner, and headed to prom (fashionably late of coarse). The first thing I did was take my shoes off and went straight to the dance floor.

The next two hours were a nonstop party, but before I knew it, the dance was over and we were in the car. We went back to one of the guy's houses and turned on a movie. The moment I sat down on the couch, I realized how tired I was. I had been going, going, going all day and my adrenaline was shot. By the time I got home and in bed it was 2 in the morning. (talk about a long day), but every minute was worth it.

April Showers
There's nothing better than waking up on a Sunday morning to the smell of rain. Rainy days call for cuddling up in bed with piles of blankets and some good movies, keeping the windows open all day long with some good music on, and soup for dinner. What's on my playlist? Lots of Maroon 5 and Jack Johnson.

Girl's Trip
When it's time for a shopping trip, my go to place is Scottsdale. And my favorite person to shop with? My mom!

Bieber Fever
After waiting for months, the day finally came. The day I would finally get to see Justin Bieber live. BELIEBE me, the wait was so worth it. The night started with a long drive to the arena rocking out to Bieber, we stopped and got dinner, then waited and waited for the lights to dim and the music to start. I don't think I have ever heard anything louder than the screaming that erupted when Justin Bieber finally came on stage. It was so loud that I could actually feel my ear drums ringing. The concert was amazing, and it sucks that the night had to end, but I think I have enough videos of it to relive the night as many times as I need to.

Mom For The Weekend
Normally, anyone would dread having to work for 36 hours straight, but that wouldn't be the case if you got to watch girlies! Their mom was on her way to Chicago, and their grandma wasn't able to come until the following night, so I got to watch her girls until Grandma could come, and my sister decided to tag along.
It doesn't feel like work when you get to play the whole time

Pinch Me
If I'm not going to wear green on St. Patrick's Day, then I might as well celebrate with some donuts!

Becoming Bohemian
Dressing up is one of my favorite things to do. That must be why I love photoshoots so much; you get to plan an outfit, put on some pretty make up, and make your hair look fancy. The best part? I can post about every part! This most recent shoot is one of my favorites. The theme was bohemian. That meant dark makeup, flowers, layers of clothes, nature, and more flowers. And good thing I live in Arizona because what better background is there than the desert? Thank you Tisha for the amazing pictures, and Katelynd for the beautiful hair (as always).
