I know I've been focusing a lot on fashion lately, so here's some hair-spiration to change it up a bit. And speaking of hair, I only need a little over 300 more hours until I can get my cosmo license! I can't wait to get into a salon and start working on real people as opposed to our mannequins every day. A couple more months and I'll finally be a licensed cosmetologist:)
When my mom was younger, her grandma would send each of the grandkids a sugar cookie with cinnamon frosting on Valentine's Day. I would like to give a quick shoutout to my great grandma for that because, every year on Valentine's Day, my mom makes sugar cookies with cinnamon frosting. If you haven't tried one of my mom's cookies then I feel sorry for you because you have no clue what you're missing out on. Hands down, this is my favorite part about February, and I can't wait to make cookies for my own kids:) And be sure to check out Hello Honey for a cute Valentine's Day outfit if you don't have one already!
Now, I know white is typically a spring and summer color, but who says you can't wear it in winter? Year after year, white is always something you see on the runways. Skipping your typical all black winter outfit will give your wardrobe a breath of fresh air. It's always good to change it up once in a while. The great thing about white is that it goes with everything, but my favorite thing to wear it with is denim. When I saw this shirt, I think it was love at first sight. I have been obsessed with the cut shoulder shirts lately, and I thought the ruffled ends added a nice touch. As usual, I finished the look with some booties, added a little bit of jewelry, and it's as easy as that!
This outfit is definitely getting me excited for warmer weather! The other day, I was asked to model for Hello Honey and it was so much fun! I'm so glad I got this opportunity otherwise I would have never known about this super cute store. Everything at the shoot was so cute and definitely made me excited to get online and start shopping! This dress has such a boho vibe. The boho style has been in for a couple of years, and I don't see that changing this year; which is great because I'm a little bit in love with anything bohemian. This dress has some of my favorite qualities (not only is it super cute, it's long sleeved and it's army green). You can add some heels to dress it up, or booties to keep it more casual. Add a chunky braid and you're ready to go out! It was so much fun shooting with all of these girls! Don't forget to go check out Hello Honeys's website because all of the outfits we are wearing are on SALE right now!
I know my friends and I spend a lot of time together, but it isn't very often that our nights are girls only. Sometines I miss spending a night in with my best friends. So, we declared last night a girls night. That meant NO BOYS ALLOWED! If you picture your basic all girls sleep over that you see in the movies, that's pretty much how our night went. It started at the Great Gadsby Bakery because dessert before dinner is always a good idea. We got the cutest milkshakes I have ever seen! One was strawberry cheesecake and the other was cookie dough. If you live in Arizona, you definitely need to go check the bakery out for yourself!
Our next stop was for take out. We didn't really think about how much food we were ordering and just got what sounded good, but we ended up with enough food to last for the rest of the week! While we were waiting for our order, a mom came up to the three of us and asked us to take a picture. Naturally, I assumed she wanted me to take a picture of her and her kids but no. She said that her oldest son (he was probably about 9) had a crush on us and wanted us in the picture! He came over and stood by us and so did her other son who was probably 2. Then, she handed me her baby! Haha it was so funny and also one one the weirdest experiences ever, but we kind of felt like celebrities. We brought our food back to Tay's and turned on a movie. We painted our nails and did face masks too. Baically, we made the night as cliche as possible. To top it off, we got out the blankets, sat down on the couch, and turned on a scary movie. The whole night was so much fun and much needed. We difninitely need to make nights like that more of a regular thing! |
