Guess who's back and better than evaaa? It's me! Okay, so I have officially decided to get back on the grind. School was really starting to stress me out, but now that I've got that under my belt AND the weather is starting to cool down, it's time to start posting regularly again. Look, I apologize for being MIA, but it turns out that moving out and starting college and having a boyfriend only to have him move away is actually very time consuming. But, I am finally ready to get back to the blog!
I'm a really big fan of this look (I guess I wouldn't post it though if I didn't like it right?) Okay, so I have been searching high and low for a pair of overalls this season, but I have had the hardest time finding a pair that fits right. I thought this was the perfect compromise: an overall dress. It still has the cute overall top, but you don't have to go through the struggle of finding a pair who's bottom isn't too short or too tight or too baggy or just doesn't look right. And as far as dresses go, THIS ONE HAS POCKETS! Haha need I say more? I feel like any dress with pockets is a keeper. This dress is also made of corduroy which I thought was really fun. I love when I get to mix new fabrics and patterns together. To top it all off, it's a black dress so it literally goes with everything. I paired the dress with a sleeveless black and white mock neck crop top (haha that was a mouthful) and some black booties. Add a pair of hoops, throw your hair up, and you're ready for a night out on the town!
Cheetah It was Friday night and I had no clue what I was going to dress up as that night. I had some ideas, but Lauren and I were going out together so we wanted to dress up together too. We walked into Forever 21 for inspiration and there it was. The cheetah print skirt. It might not have been the most original idea, but to be honest, I didn't really care. I just really wanted to contour the crap out of my face and draw some cheetah spots on there haha. We left Forever 21 and headed to Spirit for the cat ears. That was the worst decision we made all night. The line snaked all the way to the back of the store. We waited in line for almost an hour just for the ears. Then, we went back to my place and got ready to go out. David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust Four months ago I had no clue who this guy was. Then, DJ made me watch The Labyrinth. I think that is hands down the weirdest movie I have seen in my entire life, but... it introduced me to David Bowie. Yes, I had heard a couple of his songs before but watching that movie helped me put a face to the name. I saw the idea for this costume on Pinterest and got so excited (I'm a sucker for face paint though). So here us my tribute to David Bowie RIP Fairy I've had this idea in the back of my head ever since last year. Last year, I really wanted to be a fairy, but I wasn't ever able to find the right pair of wings. This year, I didn't have that problem! This look was super fun. It's not every day you get to put on bright purple and blue eyeshadow haha. ,I even got to have a little bit of fun with my hair. I'm always doing other people's hair so it was fun to play with mine for a change. To finish it all off, I piled on the glitter because why not? Pirate Lastly, just some fun hair for my roomie's pirate costume
