Is there anything more American than spending a Friday night at the baseball field? We had good seats, good company, and a not so good game, but that wasn't going to ruin the night (especially because even thought the Diamond Backs lost, there would still be fireworks after the game). I never thought that I would be able to sit through an entire baseball game, but you know what they say, "time flies when you're having fun."
For this, I started by sectioning out the bottom half of her hair and pinned it into a bun. Next, I put a dutch braid on the side of her head and curled the rest of her hair. I took sections of the curls and pinned them around the bun. To finish the style, I pinned the braid around the bun and pulled some hair down to frame her face.
This weekend was nothing if not crazy. It was prom weekend, and I definitely had the best date around. It got started bright and early on Saturday morning with a trip to the lake (basically my favorite place in Arizona). Even though I had to get up at five in the morning, it was totally worth it. When we got up there, Braden (my date) and Beecher (my best friend) decided they would try and ride the paddle board together. When they couldn't do it, Beecher's date and I had no choice but to show them up. Then, we went out on the boat to wakeboard and tube. With prom being later that day, I kept piling on the sunscreen. There was no way I would let myself be sunburnt for pictures. When I finally got home from the lake, I rushed to get ready. I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off scrambling to get myself put together, but some how, I managed to do it. Four thirty rolled around and Braden knocked on my door; it was finally time to go to prom! First things first though, we went to take some pictures, because did it really happen if you didn't get pictures to prove it? It was fun to see all of the girls in their prom dresses when only a few hours before, we were at the lake with windblown hair. Next, we went to dinner, and headed to prom (fashionably late of coarse). The first thing I did was take my shoes off and went straight to the dance floor.
For this style, I just swooped her hair over her ear and pinned it in the back of her head. Before I pinned her hair, I pulled up some hair right above where I was going to put the bobby pins and put it back down after the swoop was secured in order to keep the bobby pins hidden.
I started by putting some messy curls in her hair. Then, I put her hair half up. Tease the pony tale and make three bubbles down it. Don't forget to cover all of the elastics with hair!
